Bij het M HKA draait alles om kunst. Maar onze passie gaat verder dan de museumzalen. Drie collega’s, Christine, Jan en Sylvie, combineren hun werk met onderwijs. Zij delen hun expertise met studenten.

With Superhost, M HKA partners with an artist or collective for a year. We offer our top floor, they provide the interpretation, and thus a beautiful dialogue emerges each time, in which the audience is also part of. This year's guests are Antje Majewski and Pawel Freisler. Together, they explore the dual nature of apples both as art objects and as points of reference in discussions about biodiversity loss.

The city of Antwerp has approved the preliminary design for the new spatial implementation plan (RUP) of the Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp (M HKA). The ambition is to create an iconic building that strengthens the cultural core of the Het Zuid district and forms a link between the Scheldt quays and the Gedempte Zuiderdokken.

The Minister of Culture has appointed six candidate designers who will be tasked with developing their proposals for the new museum building for M HKA over the course of this year. With the publication Love Is Forever, Isn't It? M HKA sheds new light on the practice of Dorothy Iannone by dealing specifically with her idiosyncratic take on performativity and transdisciplinarity—notably through her use of audio and video pieces, and creative writing—and her unique thinking and imagery regarding feminism and feminine sexuality and desire.

On April 8th, the museum connected these panels, which were installed on the roofs of the building this spring. This marks a new phase of focus – not only on internal production processes and back-office operations but also on addressing the current, restrictive, and challenging infrastructure in terms of ecology, climate, and sustainability.
