The Flemish government has appointed Belgian firm Bovenbouw Architectuur and Swiss studio Christ & Gantenbein to design the ambitious new building for the Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp (M HKA).

The exhibition "The End is a New Beginning" celebrates Hugo Roelandt (1950–2015), a versatile artist whose contributions to the post-war avant-garde movement in Antwerp continue to resonate today. Now, ten years after his passing, M HKA and CKV (Flanders Art Archive Centre) bring to light his legacy, showcasing his influential career through a comprehensive exhibition, the first of its kind in a museum setting.

On February 29, 2024, artist Antje Majewski took on the role of Superhost at M HKA. For almost a year, she worked on a broad performative and collaborative project centered on apples. The apple serves not only as an inspiring artistic object but also as a medium for reflecting on themes like migration, locality, and biodiversity loss.
