In February 1 and 2, we celebrate the launch of Panamarenko85, a tribute to Panamarenko!

During this special Panamarenko celebration year, we honor the visionary artist Panamarenko. Step into his boundless imagination and discover his unique legacy at various locations in Antwerp. M HKA presents a program, both at M HKA and the Panamarenko House, designed to inspire art lovers of all ages.

ALL DAY – February 1 & 2
M HKA kicks off the celebration year with the presentation Panamarenko – Journey to the Stars. A museum guide will be available throughout the weekend to provide extra insights into his work and vision.

Additionally, visitors can get creative in the Panamarenko Salon, located on the first floor.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1
At 3:00 PM, art historian Jo Coucke will present the new Panamarenko publication Panamarenko Fundamentals at M HKA, followed by a book signing session.

Panamarenko Fundamentals sheds new light on the innovative power and imagination of Panamarenko. This book serves both as a perfect introduction to his work and a fresh perspective for those looking to rediscover his vision.

Visit the Panamarenko House

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1
At the Panamarenko House, the place where the artist lived and worked, visitors can enjoy a short introductory visit. Individual visitors will have the opportunity to explore the house up close, with experienced guides sharing the stories behind his artworks.

The tours are free and start at 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, and 1 PM.
Duration: 45 minutes, Dutch, max. 12 participants.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2
A special experience for families: “De Kleine Panamarenko”, a guided tour designed specifically for children. Through playful stories and activities, young visitors will learn all about Panamarenko’s life and work.

The tours are free and start at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM.
Duration: 90 minutes, Dutch, max. 10 participants.

Panamarenko85

In 2025, we celebrate the Belgian visionary artist and dream engineer Panamarenko (1940–2019), who uniquely merged art and science. Panamarenko85, an initiative of the Panamarenko Foundation, honors this pioneer, innovator, and inspirer with a series of exhibitions, activities, and a new publication.
