Walk through The Ties That Bind in company of artist Aline Bouvy.
True to the commitments of her practice, the artist will invite us to look at Jim Shaw’s exhibition from the perspective of diverse forms of cultural practices, feminism and the formation of social norms.
This guided tour will be held in English and is free with a valid ticket to the exhibition. No reservations are required.

Biography
Aline Bouvy (b. 1974, Brussels) is a visual artist working with a wide range of mediums, including sculpture, drawing, photography, performance and sound. She studied visual arts at the ERG (Graphic Research School) in Brussels from 1995 to 1999 before joining the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht (Netherlands). Her work has been shown in numerous galleries and institutions such as Palais de Tokyo, Paris, FR; Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin, D; Albert Baronian, Brussels, BE; Public, London, UK; Exo Exo gallery, Paris, FR, and Motel, New York, among others. During the pandemic, M HKA commissioned the artist / Végétamère to conceive the ‘cake’ for the online edition of Art’s Birthday, which resulted in the performative video work From Courtly Love to Bardcore: A Goblin’s Cake. In 2022, her work was the subject of a survey exhibition named Cruising Bye at the MAC’s – Museum of Contemporary Arts in Hornu, Belgium. An exhibition catalogue was published on the occasion. This year, the artist is presenting the solo exhibition The Price of the Ticket at Triangle-Astérides, Marseille, FR and La Ferme du Buisson, Marne-la-Vallée, FR.
