Avant – Garde Walk

Discover the past, present, and future of M HKA and the vibrant neighborhood it calls home.

The redevelopment of Zuidpark and the quays, the reopening of KMSKA, and soon a new M HKA on the site of the current Court of Appeal: the Zuid district is an area in motion. It is now, and it has been in the past.

During this walking tour, our guide will show you how the area has evolved since the 1980s under the influence of various museums and galleries. You will pass landmarks such as Wide White Space and Ruimte A, public artworks by Lili Dujourie and Sammy Baloji, and conclude at James Turrell’s Skyspace on M HKA’s rooftop terrace.

Tip: After the tour, there’s time to enjoy a drink or a bite at M HKAFE or explore the museum independently.

• Price starting January 1st: €160 per group/guide, including access to the museum’s free section.
• Book a guide at your preferred date and time.
• Duration: 2.5 hours.
• Number of participants: 1 group of up to 15 people.
• No age limit.
