Big Perspectives, Little Eyes
M HKA warmly welcomes the smallest visitors! We slide a small stool under the artworks and throw open our doors to young museum explorers. During a guided tour that lasts an hour, kindergartners learn about contemporary art and the museum. In a playful way, they learn to look at art. Here, the three pillars of art observation – colour, shape and material – are key. Not just by looking, but also by using all the senses, the works of art come to life. During the interactive tour, the children are encouraged to express their own opinion of the artworks, both by engaging in a dialogue and by making fun crafted objects. A visit to M HKA is an experience that offers subject matter which, long afterwards, can be worked through in the classroom.
For school groups applying for a guided tour, M HKA is open from Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 on.
