Your moral and financial support means a substantial contribution to the realisation of special art purchases, restorations of fragile art works and educational projects. M HKA can set up special research projects thanks to your support. The museum not only connects with artists, we also collaborate with research institutions, primarily with the University of Antwerp (Master Film Studies and Visual Culture). Currently, we collaborate for example on a fascinating study of Allan Sekula’s oeuvre.

Furthermore, M HKA offers a visitors’ programme for people with early stage dementia and their caregivers called Meet Me @ M HKA. We are the first museum in Belgium to organise tours for people with early dementia. Although more and more people are confronted with dementia, both personally and in their immediate surroundings, opportunities for people with dementia to participate in meaningful activities are rather limited. Instead of highlighting weaknesses, Meet Me @ M HKA, focuses on the rich emotional and intellectual experiences a museum visit can trigger.

Your support ensures that M HKA can develop educational projects. The museum welcomes for instance NT2 (Dutch as second language) classes that visit the museum with a guide or independently, while practicing their Dutch.
